The Swan Hotel

Looking down West Street, towards Winchester, in the Historic Town of Alresford, The Swan Hotel is situated on the left hand side where for over two hundred and fifty years it has served the community well, from the original horse drawn coaches running from London to Southampton, to modern day travellers.

The hotel offers 22 *3 Star bedrooms with the original rooms now refurbished to a high standard. All the rooms are en-suite and set out for a comfy nights sleep. The hotel also offers 2 self-contained, self-catering apartments for guests wishing to stay for longer periods of time. The private function rooms offer meeting and event space with the largest able to accommodate up to 100 guests for a buffet or 60 guests for a sit down meal.

By car: The town of New Alresford is situated off the A31 between Winchester and Alton. Follow the brown tourist signs to The Swan Hotel. If using a sat nav use the postcode: SO24 9AD. The hotel has a small car park which is located off Station Road.

By train: The nearest train stations are located in Winchester or Alton, Hampshire. For more information, visit South Western Railway. Guests will need to then use either the local bus or taxi service from Winchester or Alton.

By bus: From Winchester the No 64 runs to Alresford High Street. From Alton the No 64 runs to Alresford High Street. Please check all times in advance with Stagecoach South.

By bike: The Swan Hotel is located just off National Cycle Network Route 23 which runs between Reading, Basingstoke, Winchester and Southampton. The hotel are more than happy to store bikes – please contact them prior to your arrival to make suitable arrangements.
