Theatre Royal Winchester is a beautiful Edwardian-style, 400 seat theatre situated in the heart of the city, just a short walk from Winchester Train station. The theatre presents a diverse programme of drama, dance, family theatre, music and talks throughout the year plus a hugely popular traditional family pantomime each December. The theatre also offers regular backstage tours.
Theatre Royal Winchester is part of the arts and education charity Play to the Crowd, that also runs Hat Fair – Winchester’s annual Outdoor Arts Festival that takes place on the first weekend each July, and Playmakers – a programme of participatory activities and community events.
Directions
By road, Theatre Royal Winchester is located on Jewry Street near the city centre, next to The Arc.
If travelling by public transport, Winchester railway station is a five minute walk away. The bus station is a 10 minute walk.

You can hire venues for a performances, meetings and more. Available hires include a 400 seat Edwardian Style Auditorium, a versatile Meeting Room, the newly refurbished contemporary Cafe Bar and a comprehensive localised Box Office service for Hirers wishing to sell their tickets.
