Winchester City Council is delighted to be working with the GEP Environmental team to offer local businesses a free carbon footprint assessment and bespoke carbon reduction action plan to identify interventions to reduce energy, water, waste and transport emissions, whilst highlighting funding opportunities.
What will we do?
To develop your organisation’s carbon footprint and carbon reduction action plan, GEP Environmental will work with you to complete the following:
An initial 30-minute scoping call where GEP Environmental will ask you a few questions about your organisation’s electricity, water, transport and waste consumption
A two hour onsite carbon assessment to understand your operations and to work with you to identify actions to reduce your emissions.
How will this benefit your business?
The assessment will help identify areas of greatest carbon reduction, and you will receive an accompanying report which will show you how to reduce your carbon emissions and overhead costs simultaneously. This programme can benefit your business through:
- Energy savings: energy audits result in reduced energy usage and lower costs.
- Engagement: participating in the programme is a great way to show other businesses and customers your commitment to sustainability.
- Enhancing reputation: consumers and employees alike are more likely to purchase goods and services from organisations that are considered sustainable, and a low carbon assessment is the perfect place to begin.
